My paintings are concerned with the depiction of how light illuminate flesh, the sensuality of the war between light and shade, how a form struggles for clarity before it is swallowed up by nothingness, the delicate tension that exists in the painted image(icon)-and the spiritual presence that occurs within the sensitive viewer.
