IAVOR LUBOMIROV - REFLECTIONS

It revolves around what is useful and what is disposable and what kinds of decisions
(especially!) or situations separate the two.

 Also whether the distinction exists.

Objectively or is simply one of a difference of timing.

I am asking this question bycreating a set of paintings from the discarded parts of the ones to be exhibited in the lightgallery and using up leftover paint from the same.  These two sets of paintings were constructed side by side - one set carefully and with purpose, the other haphazardly and inattentively.

The latter I plan to distribute to various out of the way places (industrial sights, abandoned buildings, or just drop on the ground somewhere as litter) probably around the same time as the exhibition, though possibly earlier or later.

The elements of timing and value can then be brought to a conclusive investigation after the exhibition when I can make decisions about disposing of unsold paintings and choosing to attempt recovery of the ones abandoned.

This whole process is essentially a transference
of my understanding of human dynamics to my paintings - a reflection of my thoughts and
the result of my reflections.

My work is about reflections formally as well as conceptually.  All the paintings,
including the abstract ones I plan to put in the lower rooms, explore certain notions of
transparency and reflection (as its natural opposite) that I have developed over the last
two and a half years.  It would, however, take far too long to explain this in detail and
it's probably not that interesting
